Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the MotivosAI website and application, operated by Motivos LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company ("we," "us"). By using the site or the app, you agree to them. We've kept them short and readable. MotivosAI is currently in a pre-launch / private-beta period, so some features, pricing, and availability described here may change before general launch.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using MotivosAI, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. We may update these terms; continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the European Economic Area) to create your own account. Users under the age of majority in their jurisdiction must have parental consent. Family groups may include minor members only when supervised by a parent or guardian who has consented on their behalf.
3. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you put into MotivosAI — tasks, notes, journal entries, goals, messages, and the like. By using the app you grant us a limited license to store and display your content as needed to operate the service. We don't sell your personal content, ever.
5. Groups & collaboration
When you share content inside a Family or Team group, every member of that group can see it. You're responsible for what you choose to share. Don't add people to groups without their knowledge or consent.
6. AI features
MotivosAI includes AI-assisted features such as message drafting, goal suggestions, and reflection prompts. AI output may contain errors or inaccuracies — review everything before sending or acting on it. AI is a tool to assist you, not replace your judgment.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use MotivosAI to harass, threaten, defame, or harm others. Don't share illegal content, spam, malware, or content that infringes someone else's rights. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
8. Subscription & billing
Free features are available to everyone. Paid features require a subscription. Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled. You can cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled according to our refund policy.
9. Service availability
We work hard to keep MotivosAI available but can't guarantee 100% uptime. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Motivos LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Motivos LLC harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the service, your content, or your violation of these terms.
12. Termination
You can delete your account anytime in Settings → Data & Account. We can terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, your personal data is deleted within 30 days, except where retention is legally required.
13. Intellectual property
The MotivosAI name, the compass mark, and the content on this site and in the app belong to Motivos LLC. Please don't reuse them without permission.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Shelby County, Tennessee, except where applicable consumer protection laws require otherwise.
15. Changes
We may update these terms periodically. Material changes will be announced at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
